Raymond J. Dumont, affectionately known as “Ray,” passed away May 7th , 2025 at the age of 76 in Waddell Arizona. A proud veteran and devoted family man, Ray lived a life of service, strength, and love — both in his hometown and across the globe.
Born to Roland J. and Gladys E. Dumont, Ray grew up in Mt. Washington, where he graduated from Withrow High School, Class of 1966. Following graduation, he began a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Marine Corps, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. His service took him around the world, though his heart remained with family, friends, and community. Ray was the beloved husband of the late Kathy Dumont. He was the rock for dozens of family members and a cherished friend to hundreds — including some very special four-legged companions. A Life Member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 484 in Mt. Washington, Ray was deeply involved in serving his community long after his military retirement.
