Robert L. Braun

Robert Louis "Bob" Braun passed away on August 9, 2026 after a long, wonderful life. Bob was born in O'Fallon, Illinois, to Raphael Henry "Ray" Braun and Orene Cecilia Braun (nee Harris). When he was young they relocated to Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, where he spent most of his young life. He played football at Urbana High School and went on to attend University of Illinois where he was a proud member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Bob enjoyed a long career in the voting and election systems industry where he formed life-long friendships. Bob loved to travel and he and his wife enjoyed many cruises all over the Caribbean. He was very loved by his friends, family and community.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Carney "Kay" Braun and his children, Dena Hipskind (Jason), Lisa Rissing (Dan), and David Braun (Kelly). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Jake Hipskind, Owen Hipskind, August Hipskind, Maggie Braun, Lilly Braun, Morgan Braun, Luke Braun, Elle Rissing and Cara Rissing. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray, his mother, Orene, and his sister Myra Meyer.

A gathering to remember Bob will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at T.P. White and Sons funeral home, 2050 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45230.
