Robert, 89, of Cincinnati passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. Born on June 30,1936 in Cincinnati Ohio. Robert grew up in Cincinnati with his late parents (Andrew and Gladys Phillips) and his 4 siblings.
Robert is survived by his 3 children Pat (Barb) Phillips, Penny Phillips, Grady (Kim) Phillips. His 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Robert lived a full life of passion and hard work building homes in the Cincinnati Anderson area. He had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and the thrill of the game. From a young age he found joy and peace in nature - whether casting a line or tracking wildlife through the woods. Fishing wasn't just a hobby for Robert-it was a true passion. He had an extraordinary gift for reading the water, the patience of a seasoned angler, and an instinct for knowing exactly when to set the hook. Over the years, he competed in-and won-numerous fishing tournaments, and he also had a remarkable talent for crafting his own fishing lures.
Robert wasn't just an outdoors man he also was a sports fan and athlete. As a teenager he could be found on the field, court or diamond - wherever the game was being played. Though time eventually slowed the body, it never dimmed his spirit. Robert remained an avid sports fan throughout life, rarely missing a game on TV or attending his great-grandchildren's events.
We take comfort in knowing Robert now rests in eternal peace, under an endless sky and beside the waters he held so dear. A private celebration of life is planned.
