Susan Schoettmer

Susan Aline Schoettmer (nee Ertel), age 94 of Mt. Washington, passed away, September 29, 2024. Susan was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 1, 1930. Her parents were Leonard and Wilmon Ertel and her sister Mary Deane. Susan attended Fairview High School class of 1948. She the attended Miami University and graduated class of 1952. She married Joseph H. Schoettmer and they had 3 children, David, Jon and Susan Martin. She had a son in law Jim Martin and a grandson Sam. Susan was a talented painter of water colors and drawings in general. She worked in retail for a time and real estate as well. She enjoyed traveling out west and was a lifelong Reds fan. She was a kind and generous person who cared for others all her life. A private family service will be held. T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home serving the family.
