Theresa Margaret Jones was born on May 14, 1959, to Florence Julia Stith and William Theodore Jones.
Theresa was a beloved sister to Barbara Whoberry, Michael Jones, and Melinda "Mindy" Smallwood. She was preceded in death by Mary Kay Ratliff, Bonita "Bonnie" Oakes, William "Billy" Jones, Dorothy Jones, Anna "Annie" Jones, Nina Herzner.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, countless friends, and her faithful companion, Sammy her cat-who, we're sure, has already noticed that his favorite human is no longer around to spoil him.
Theresa brought color, laughter, and a little bit of mischief wherever she went. She was a loyal sister, a devoted friend, and that fun aunt who could make you laugh when you needed it most.
Theresa had a BIG heart. She loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and never needed an invitation to add a little fun to the room. She had a way of turning ordinary moments into memories and leaving people with a smile-even when she was probably the reason they were shaking their heads and saying, "Did she really just say that?..."
She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. But knowing Theresa, we can't imagine her sitting quietly on a cloud. Heaven has gained an angel, and we have a feeling it just got a whole lot louder, brighter, and more entertaining.
While our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every laugh, every story, every hug, every act of kindness, and every wonderfully mischievous moment she gave us.
For our family she was our anchor. The one who helped hold us together, made us laugh, and reminded us to love people exactly as they are.
And although we have to let her go, we will carry her with us-in our laughter, in our stories, and in all the moments when we catch ourselves thinking, "Yep... Theresa would have done that."
She will forever be OUR anchor.
