Mother, Sister, Aunt, Friend
Velma Lois Morelli left this world, one day shy of her 87th birthday. Velma was a devoted Reds fan, and often a vocally frustrated one! Opening Day started her happiest season. She was a kind, generous, devoted, humble woman who quietly served others her entire life. She never sought attention, but her love was widely felt. Her only fault was leaving a legacy and standard impossible to match.
Velma is survived by her daughters, Paula Morelli Williams, Cathi Phillips, and Melissa Morelli (Carter Waide). Grandchildren: Tabitha Morelli, Ryan Schroth (Tamara Compton), Logan Weis, Molly Weis, Hannah Barone, Angiolina Barone, and Frances Barone. Bonus grandchildren: Stephanie (Ben) Donaldson, Michael Williams (Emma), Carrie Waide (Maxim Brumbach), Lindsay Bradley (Matt), and great grandchildren: Claire Donaldson, Margaret Williams, and Rebecca Williams and Baby Evie Bradley.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Loretta, Marge, Helen, Bill, Jack, and Paul, and leaves her only remaining sister, Marlene, to join her in her own time
While she will be desperately missed by her life-long Seven Hills family, her travel group, all of her many boyfriends, and many friends, we expect a party has already started on the other side. Velma loved a party! And she loved everything chocolate, so I’m sure her plate is never empty.
Rest in peace, Velma - we shall keep you forever in our hearts.
Anyone who wants to laugh and cry and share stories is welcome to attend her celebration of life at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home in Mount Washington on Saturday, July 19, between 1-3 pm, with a short service at 3. In keeping with Velma’s love of a party, free to wear something cheerful.
