Ann G.  McConnell
McConnell, Ann Gateley, age 95 years, passed away February 21, 2017 at Forest Hill Care Center where she resided the last 4 years. Ann was born October 24, 1921 in Ft. Thomas, KY. She graduated from Highlands High School and Eastern Kentucky University. Ann was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 69 years, William G. McConnell. She is survived by daughters Kimberly M. (Robert ) Armstrong of Dublin, OH, and Patricia S. (Julio) Araya of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren J. Scott (Emily) Armstrong and Ashley L. Armstrong of Dublin, OH, and Amy L. (Will) Tuten of Narberth, PA and great granddaughter Eliza C. Tuten. Ann was a resident of Anderson Township for 56 years She was active in the Anderson Woman's Club., Anderson Garden Club and various bridge groups. She was a member of Mt Washington Presbyterian Church and a substitute teacher at Anderson Elementary school. Ann was a Girl Scout leader for many years (Daisy). She devoted herself to her husband and daughters. She kept a beautiful home and loved to cook and entertain. Ann and her husband had a long, healthy retirement traveling, fishing and spending winters in Venice, FL. Ann will be missed. The family wishes to thank the staff at Forest Hills Care Center, her private aides and Crossroads Hospice for the love and care they gave Ann. Funeral service will be held at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church, 6474 Beechmont Ave. Monday February 27 at 11 AM with visitation 10-11 AM. Donations in Ann's memory can be made to Mt.
