Albert Douglas "Doug"  Kassen
Albert Douglas "Doug" Kassen, 75 years, formerly of Cincinnati, died April 6, 2018 in Atlanta, GA. Doug is the beloved father of Jeff (Amy), Lindsey (Veann Nguyen) Kassen, and Kelley (Ryan) Lively, devoted brother of Glenn, Dave, Barry, and Jan Kassen, dear grandfather of Savannah, Steel, Cambelle, and Kaia, son of the late Albert and Evelyn Kassen, former husband of Elaine Kassen (nee Dearwester), also survived by sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be at Calvary Alliance Church 686 Nordyke Rd., Anderson Twp. on Thur. April 12, at 12:30 PM. Friends may visit at the Church on Thur. from 11:30-12:30 PM. Doug was born August 25th, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH to Albert and Evelyn (VonBargen) Kassen. He was a graduate of Amelia High School and Morehead State University. On November 28th, 1969 he married G. Elaine Kassen of Cincinnati, OH and they had three children – a boy (Jeff, 1973) and two girls (Kelley, 1975; Lindsey, 1982). Doug was a high school teacher at Milford High School for over 30 years retiring in 2000. Doug was the head golf coach for over 20 years leading his teams to many accomplishments being ranked #1 in Cincinnati for several years and winning the Division 1 Ohio HS State Golf Championship in 1989. Doug was inducted into the Ohio High School Coaches Hall-of-Fame for his achievements. Doug was passionate about life – he enjoyed watching and playing sports while most days you would be able to find him on a golf course with family and friends.

Doug spent the last few years of his life battling dementia and is now freed from the bondage of pain, suffering, and diseases of this world. Doug was a Christian and believer in God, and has gone home to be with God, his mother, father, family, and friends who have passed before him.
