Obituary for Carol Lacey Aniskovich

Carol Lacey Aniskovich
Carol Lacey Aniskovich, age 83 of Anderson Twp. died December 23, 2017. She was born February 21, 1934 in Boston, MA to the late Charles and Eva Benoit Lacey. Carol was the oldest of 10 children and met her husband of 60 years, Paul while attending Branford (CT) High School. They moved to Cincinnati in 1981 where she immediately got involved with numerous organizations as a volunteer. She was a former docent at the Cincinnati Zoo, member of Christ The King choir, tutor at St. Francis Seraph, volunteer at Tender Mercies, and a reader at the Cincinnati Association for the Blind. Carol was formerly a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker West Shell and an Executive Search Professional. She was also a was a licensed Emergency Medical Technician in Massachusetts. Carol and Paul were summer residents of West Dennis, Cape Cod since 1980 where she was an active member of the 9-Holers and directed the Wrinkle Point Follies. Carol was an avid family historian, spending years researching the Lacey family history and compiling it into a bound treasure. She was focused and directed all her life. Carol never understood the word "can't" and was a wonderful role model to her family. At the age of 40 she decided to learn how to play golf and took lessons where in the same season she won the 9-holers championship at the Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, MA. That same determination continued with her love of music at the age of 55 when she purchased her first piano and learned how to play. She auditioned for and was invited to participate in the Berkshire Choral Festival in Sheffield, MA. Her greatest love was her family who will cherish all the precious memories. Carol was the beloved wife of Paul P. Aniskovich, devoted mother of Michael (Gail), Nancy, Gary, and Peter Aniskovich, and caring grandmother of Kate (Mike) Theis, Michael and Patrick Hennekes, Emily and John Aniskovich. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Friday, December 29th at 10 am. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 9 to 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Cincinnati, 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH. 45203. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Arden Courts of Anderson and Heartland Hospice. T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home serving the family. www.tpwhite.com
