He took the law seriously, but everything else was fair game. His love of music and creative spirit made every gathering a party. Always a joy to be with, his unique sense of humor made all our lives more entertaining and enjoyable.

Condolence From: Mike Allen
Condolence: Jim was a friend and colleague many years ago. I was a new prosecutor in municipal court and Jim was making a name for himself as the premier OVI criminal defense attorney in town. Jim was always honest and up front about his cases and never made it personal. He was so easy going and personable.
We became friends and even traveled to Mexico for a vacation together with our girlfriends/spouses. Jim was so full of life. He never took himself too seriously and was always there with a laugh or a joke. He was an absolute pleasure to be around. One of his best friends was fellow attorney Dave Parker, another prankster and good man who left us way too early.
We have missed you for many, many years Jim. I'll bet you and Dave are already pranking each other in heaven. Rest in peace my friend.
