Condolence: My Uncle Sonny has been a part of my entire life. As far back as I can remember he was always there. How fortunate for me and all of our family that his family made the voyage from Germany to the United States so that he was born in the United States and later became a part of our family. :) I have so many memories it is hard to narrow them down to just a few.....he was an excellent cook and I can remember when we would go to visit he always had food on the stove and would try to get us to eat something. I remember all the times he and my Aunt would come to visit us and we would eat or do something and then many times he and Grandma (and sometimes others) would play a game of cards. Trips to Americana for company picnics and tons of visits to Kings Island with our season passes.....I can remember when they opened the Potato Wedge Shack by the Train there and he loved getting those :) ..so many memories. I can't begin to count how many times we went swimming in their pool in the back yard...even now I can see Uncle Sonny standing in the middle of the pool with his hat on as we floated around the edge :) I remember all of his stories he told about his time in the Army and how he got to leave for R&R and there were many planes on the sides of the runway that had crashed and been moved out of the way, His stories of working on the farm with the cows and such and delivering things, I remember throughout the years as we would go different places and he would point out areas he had gone through as he made deliveries. He told us of his days working at Coney Island as a young man and how he would hurry up to do his work and then he and his buddies would go swimming in the big pool and how he worked at the Palace Theatre and got to see all the movies. I remember when we would take tours of California, Ohio and he would point out places of his youth. I remember the fun we had when we would go the see the Gaithers in concert. How blessed I have been to have such an amazing man as my Uncle all these years. THANK YOU UNCLE SONNY for all the special moments we shared. I love you!!!....see you again one day :) Love, Angela
